Historical Romance

In the middle of her wedding,  Adela Mcleod is kidnapped by a masked man before she can say “I do”. After her rescue, she marries her elderly bridegroom, but he dies at the wedding party when he drinks poisoned wine. Adela vows never to marry again.  What she didn’t expect was that she would be accused of murdering her elderly spouse.

Robert Logan felt drawn to Adela at her wedding, but her association with him could easily endanger her life. So that he tries to keep his distance from her, but he hasn’t counted on her stubbornness and the feelings between them.

KNIGHT’S TREASURE is the direct sequel of LADY’S CHOICE, and although the characters are not as likeable as the ones from LADY’S CHOICE, the book is still a pleasurable read. It’s a fast-paced and well-written story that you will enjoy.

Adela underwent quiet a change from LADY’S CHOICE to this book and became more courageous and stronger. Robert is quite romantic in his relationship with Adela.

Ms. Scott has a way to captivate the readers with her stories. Her books transport you back to medieval Scotland. KNIGHT’S TREASURE is a good mixture of medieval Scottish romance and romantic suspense.

KNIGHT’S TREASURE is an enjoyable book for a quiet evening at home. If you are a fan of historical romance with a touch of suspense, you don’t want to miss this book.

It will be interesting to see how Ms. Scott will continue with her books.
