Constantine Draegon,
the ultimate Templar bad boy, is a loose cannon waiting to go off.
Scarred by his childhood, he has never known anything but darkness except
when Lexine is around. Yet he fears to soil her with his touch.
Lexine ‘Lex’ Parker
might be innocent but she knows what she wants. And that happens to be
Constantine, yet she is unable to convince him of that. That is until
things start heating up and he might be the only one that can save her.
In THE DAYSTAR,
Ms. Lyons has graced us with a rich tale of love, healing and redemption.
The second book in the Templar Vampire series, THE DAYSTAR stands
on its own merits yet this reviewer does recommend reading THE MIDNIGHT
SUN for the back-story.
Because of abuse
during his mortal life, Constantine has never really believed in
redemption or heaven. He just tries to stay on the path for the sake of
his brother Templars. With flashbacks to his childhood, the reader can
easily understand why he is such a bastard and tries to push everyone away
from him.
Lex is also a
strong character. From the glimpses of her past, one would almost wonder
why she is not a spoiled princess. Yet she is a surprisingly mature and
nice person that this reviewer would enjoy having coffee with her and
chatting.
Readers will also
get a chance to visit with Allie and the rest of the Templars from THE
MIDNIGHT SUN.
This reviewer does
want to recommend that Ms Lyons is an author to watch out for. Her first
book was good yet THE DAYSTAR, her second book is so much deeper
and richer that there is really no comparison between the two. Be sure to
rush out and get your copy today.
