Vince Mason lives for the nights when he
can serve the table of the fascinating Catherine Reynolds who holds
business meetings at the restaurant where he works at least twice per
week. Alas, the alluring Ms. Reynolds never seems to notice him as
anything other than a competent server until the night when her clients
were a no-show. Wallowing in her resentment about a wasted Saturday
night, Cate gets a little tipsy at the restaurant bar and Vince leaps at
the chance to be her knight in shining amour and makes sure she arrives
home safely. Once at her apartment, nature and the attraction Cate has
refused to let show before now take their course, and Cate and Vince
indulge in a night of unforgettable passion. Will Cate allow her
self-doubts to derail what could be the love of a lifetime or will Vince
be successful in CONVINCING CATE to give love a try?
Ms. Hill has penned a wonderful little
novella that speaks to the insecurities that perhaps all women have when
faced with the dilemma of how to fight an attraction that they may deem
inappropriate at best. The story is in turn, witty, passionate, and
poignant and Ms. Hill manages to blend all of these emotions seamlessly
into an evocative tale. Vince is an appealing hero who has dreams and
aspirations for his life that make him seem older than his years. While
this reviewer found Cate’s protestations about the viability of their
relationship somewhat affective, the overall sense of realism that
pervades the story made her more sympathetic and attractive. The sex
scenes are well written and hot, hot, hot! Ms. Hill can be confident that
this addition to her publications will be well received and will only
serve to further her reputation as a writer of sexy contemporary romance.
This reviewer commends her for writing such a complete and compelling tale
in under 60 pages and looks forward to her future efforts. Any reader of
contemporary romance will enjoy this tale!
