Rhian
MacGregor has spent the past seven years abstaining from relationships and
taking care of her orphaned nephew. Her sister and brother-in-law were
her only family and when they died in a tragic accident she took her seven
month old nephew in and gave up all of her dreams to be his parent. Jem
is now eight and going to be spending eight weeks in an RV with his
father’s parents. Rhian decides it is time to let lose – she decides to
have a summer fling and write a children’s novel.
Nathan
Delaney is running from his identity as a famous author and finds himself
hired as Rhian’s new painter. He only plans to stay in town as long as it
takes to paint her house, but finds himself drawn to the woman and wanting
more than a summer fling. When a TV journalist manages to hunt him down,
he has to decide to stay and make peace with being famous or stay on the
lam and hide.
Rhian is a strong
heroine who left this reader breathless in her antics and actions to save
what she loves. Her love for Nathan outweighs common sense from the
beginning and gives the goose bumps as she learns more about the man she
fell in love with. When Nathan has a secret to keep he lets only those he
loves in, and when he fell for the wrong woman he has to deal with that
fact. This makes him scared of love and honesty, when he finally comes
clean about it; the drama makes for a tale that ends with a bang!
WANTED MAN
is the debut novel for author Ellen Hartman and is one of the best debut
novels this reader has read! They say practice makes perfect, but this
author is pretty darn near perfect as far as this reader is concerned.
This is author will be put on my “to be watched” list and her website
scoured frequently for tidbits on new titles. A secondary character, Min
(Rhian’s best friend and nanny) spoke to this reader, and will hopefully
appear soon in a new novel from the talented Ms.
Hartman. (*HINT*)
