Risk Leidolf, a hellhound, has been bound to an immortal witch for centuries and he has to do her bidding. Her latest command is it to find and bring a specific witch to her, so that she can destroy her. But what she didn’t count on was that he also has a human side, which rebels against this command, especially after he meets Kara and is immediately drawn to her. Will they find a way to free not only Kara from the threat, but also Risk from his enslavement? 

This reviewer just can say wow to this book; it absolutely knocked her socks off. UNBOUND is a fascinating, fast-paced book full of action and intriguing characters that will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. Ms. Devoti created a wonderful and unique book. The story is full of elements from the Nordic mythology and the fact that the hero is a hellhound makes the book even more special. 

Risk is a tortured hero in every sense of the word. The things that he had to endure during the imprisonment are really terrible and nothing for the faint-hearted.  Kara is a heroine that grows into her role as the story progress; she becomes a real kick-ass heroine.  The set of secondary characters is also very fascinating and many of them have a large potential to get their own stories. 

This is a terrific start to a new series and you will definitely keep your eyes open for the next book by Ms. Devoti.  

This reviewer can recommend UNBOUND to every reader, who wants to read a very good paranormal story, which is different than the rest.
