The Dark Shield

Connor Wolfe escaped Belfast, Ireland, as a youngster. He was adopted by James and Cala Wolfe. As a police officer, he was shot in the head and disfigured. His partner was killed. Connor heads back to Ireland as he feels the need to go back.

Connor is a man trying to deal with his life. His trip to Ireland may help resolve his feelings of where he comes from and what happened to him. The loss of his brother, Peter has affected him more than he has let on. His journey brings him to his destiny as he meets people from his past as well as the woman he will share his future with. Connor is a good and honorable man. He has retained many of the values given to him by his family. The reader is drawn into his story as his past comes into play when he reaches Ireland. Daligherat O’Dea (Di) is a warm, strong and loving woman. They make a wonderful match as she softens Connor’s edges.

THE DARK SHIELD is an interesting tale filled with love, romance and tragedy. It has a paranormal aspect to it but the driving force is the character of Connor. He is the main protagonist and focal point of the story. It is his actions and decisions that set events into motion. The story moves at a pretty quick clip as the story unfolds. THE DARK SHIELD is the sequel to The Dark Plain, which features Jack and Cala’s story.
