Damon Asteriades
has pushed aside his desire for Rebecca Grainger, until his circumstances
change.
Rebecca married
Damon’s mentor, and is now dubbed the black widow bride by society. What
neither of them can forget is the passion that flared between them the
night before Damon married her best friend Fliss.
Damon is furious
when Savvas, his brother befriends Rebecca and it looks like he also
desires her. She’s supposed to be a fortune hunter, the kind of woman he
despises, but his body tells another story, until Fliss dies in an
accident and his mother becomes ill.
When another
wedding needs planning, his mother is in hospital, and insists Rebecca is
the only one she’ll trust to organize Savvas’ wedding. Damon persuades
Rebecca that his mother will kill herself organizing it, if she doesn’t
help. He also discovers Rebecca’s secret, she has a child, a son she
insists is her deceased husband’s.
BLACK WIDOW
BRIDE is Ms. Radley’s debut
novel, and this reviewer looks forward to number two. The story is filled
with intense, unresolved passion, as the hero and heroine's worlds collide
once again. Rebecca is a provocative heroine, with a strong will and many
hidden facets. The hero is a strong alpha male, with preconceived views,
that even his mother can not change.
This is an
interesting character driven plot, with plenty of zest and zing. The
conflict is attention-grabbing as are the intense feelings that continue
to flare. There is far more to Rebecca than the usual heroine, making this
a page turner. She is tough and a survivor, making her far more
interesting than expected. Damon is also an interesting character, one who
loves and respects his mother. If you like lots of undercurrents and hot
passionate characters, this is the book to read.
