What do you get when you cross a beautiful librarian with a FBI agent on the run?  You get ALL JACKED UP.  Librarian Aubrey Sullivan’s staid life is interrupted when a gun toting stranger shows up at work and attempts to abduct her, for her own good he says.  She finds herself in the middle of flying bullets, a car chase, snarling guard dogs, a motorcycle gang and some inept bad guys, lucky her.  Of course, she isn’t alone in all this fun.  She is ALL JACKED UP by a hot and sexy FBI agent on the run.  Now if they can just dodge the disasters that keep cropping up and keep their libidos in check long enough figure out what it is that has put Aubrey on a drug king’s hit list before they catch up to her, they might make it out of this mess with their hearts intact.

Penny McCall’s debut novel is a high adrenaline laugh fest.  Poor Jack Mitchell has no idea the mess he has taken on when he decides to clear his name by figuring out Aubrey Sullivan’s secrets.  Aubrey proves to be one hilarious disaster after another.  And while Jack gets caught in her plans, so does just about everyone she comes into contact with including the bumbling hit men hot on their trail.  The characters in this book absolutely leap off the page.  You can just about imagine Aubrey in her heels, her short skirt and her neon pink backpack with all these men dodging bullets and mayhem in her wake.  Positively hilarious.  Even a drug king pin is no match for Aubrey.  Jack may have thought he could simply go back to his solitary existence after he gets his life back, but there is no preparing him for life with Aubrey.

Penny McCall has another novel coming out this summer, TAG, YOU’RE IT!, and this reader just can’t wait to see if this author has what it takes to continually enthrall her audience with such fun and sexy suspense.  If her next novel is even close to the hilarity and heat that ALL JACKED UP brings, it is bound to be a big seller.
