Who needs sex when they’re trying to launch a new business? Not Marissa Hughes. That’s why until her business becomes established she’s imposed a life of celibacy on herself. But will she be able to handle her self-imposed celibacy when a beer-wheeling hunk of a man strolls through the kitchen the day before a big wedding?

Jason Henderson has set his sites on the woman he’s dubbed the cake babe. He can’t help but wonder if she tastes as good as the icing she’s spreading all over the cake. In fact he wouldn’t mind spreading some on her and taste testing for himself.

If only Marissa had known sooner that catching the bouquet would lead to the most delicious sexual encounter; she’d a fought to catch it.

This is the first time this reviewer has read something by Ms. Ellis, but this reader must say she was impressed. Ms. Ellis enticed this reviewer from the first page. Relating to the heroine’s desire to establish her business and putting relationships on the back burner temporarily wasn’t hard to do. Marissa could be many women today, which was why she was so believable.

The hero Jason was sexy, desirable and charming. He’s also known to be a lady’s man who seduces women at weddings. He’s a man who knows what he wants and isn’t about to take no for an answer.

THE CAKE BABE was full of humor and lots of hot sex. This quickie is enough story to make your icing drip. This reviewer really enjoyed this story.
