Linnea Kiaho is a nineteen year old woman who lives on one of the poorest hidden worlds. To save her family from death and destruction, she does the worst thing imaginable: she takes an indenture on the godless and decadent home world of the Pilot Masters, hoping that she can barter a family secret into a future for her, her family and possibly her planet as well.

Pilot Iain sen Paolo is Linnea’s unwilling master and knows nothing about her family secret that she is willing to barter for a better life. To spite his family and the order of the Pilot Masters, he helps Linnea find the truth and uncover the secret that could throw chaos in the Pilot Masters at a time when they least need it. For the Cold Minds have discovered the Hidden Worlds and they are coming for them!

THE HIDDEN WORLDS is an interesting book for this reviewer to behold. Full of captivating characters, intriguing storyline and action that keeps getting hotter; this is an edge of the seat ride for anyone who enjoys a good Science Fiction/Fantasy Story. Ms. Landon writes with much wit and prose and captures the true essence of her characters completely. This reviewer was drawn deep into the Hidden Worlds and the fight they had against machines that would destroy them in a heartbeat. With a background that leaves the reader breathless, THE HIDDEN WORLDS is a true gem in storytelling.

Linnea is a woman forced to help her family when her planet is dying, a bit slowly. Instead of waiting for the death sure to come, she stands out as a determined young lady who goes through life hoping she can save her loved ones and in the process, finds a mystery that surrounds her family secret that draws her into the shadows of the mysterious Pilot Masters. With Iain by her side, they race to find what this secret is before their enemies find them or the cold minds themselves. This reviewer was drawn to Linnea as a woman who is determined, hopeful and proud. Ms. Landon captures her true essence in this character, especially after all the twists and turns she goes through only endears her to the reader more. Iain is a proud man, who is determined to find out what his father knows about Linnea’s secret and though at times, this reader wanted to smack him to get a backbone, he develops nicely and manages to redeem himself in the long run. This author deliciously draws out the secret and handles her characters with exquisite delight that had this reader turning the page eagerly, wondering what happens next.

With wonderfully wicked secondary characters, a mystery that unfolds with many twists and turns and a surprise ending that is sure to grab you by the throat, get ready for Ms. Landon’s Hidden Worlds and see what happens when Earth’s descendants find themselves battling the machines that once destroyed them before. See what happens when Linnea finds out what the secret is and what it means to Iain and her as well as their families.
