Fantasy Romance

Owen Palmer, one of Katie Chandler’s co-workers at Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc. that Katie just happens to like as more than a friend, has finally started to show her the attention that she wants from him. Sadly so has a fairy godmother that is bugging the heck out of Katie and making almost everything bad that could happen happen and unlike Cinderella, Katie doesn’t really want the godmother to stay around.  When the first incident that the godmother creates happens, Katie and Owen both assume that it’s part of their work project, if the fairy godmother continues things could get really bad.  How will Owen and Katie end up? Can their relationship survive the fairy godmother???

This reviewer absolutely loved the suspense in this realistic fairy tale.  DAMSEL UNDER STRESS got a rating of four, instead of a five is because there were too many characters and this reader often got confused.  However, this story puts a spin on fairy tales because it has many twists and unexpected turns that make the tale that much better. The characters seem like they don’t connect that well at the beginning but as the story goes on you find that the characters do connect they just all connect in their own ways.  Even though the magic is far-fetched, the story makes up for it by having a believable plotline.  This reviewer believes that there are other books before this one however; this reviewer was able to follow the story easily besides the fact that there were too many characters.  Go and get your copy today!!
