The promotional news release that arrived with WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU tells how Kate Marshall wanted to give a special anniversary gift to her husband, David Marshall and she lovingly put together a book that touched on all the amazing things he had done for her. So taken with the love and heartfelt giving of her book, David, in turn, made one for Kate. Together they wrote WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU.

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU  is a workbook of sorts for one half of a couple to put in writing for all time, what it is about their significant other that brings out the bond of love between them. Starting with the basic “five W’s—what, when, where, who and where the Marshalls take their readers (writers) through what a couple does and goes through as the relationship grows, why they clicked from day one, to times the other person was missed. There are pages set aside for favorite pictures, as well as funny entries such as if you had not already met your partner, what would the personal ad to find them say. Entries for the best gift and all the firsts one shares in a relationship round out this fun and thoughtful book.

As this reviewer turned the pages, laughing at some, feeling warmth in others and an occasional tear at still others, it became clear that WHAT I LOVE ABOUT YOU is the perfect gift for any couple. It is one that newlyweds can share on their honeymoon—and continue through a long marriage as it is also, like a good marriage, a work in progress. A simple idea, yet one that does, indeed, speak to the heart.
