Carolyn is a tiny blonde who is consistently underestimated because of her beauty. She is also stubborn, fearless and a first class detective. Gray made the decision three years ago when he was turned into a vampire that Carolyn would be better off without him however he has never stopped loving her. When he was human, Gray was a follower who always bowed to peer pressure. As a vampire, he has discovered his self confidence. The secondary characters round out the story without attempting to take over though this reviewer is very happy to hear that two of the secondary characters, Hannah and Jules, will be getting their own book.

This reviewer very highly recommends WATCHERS IN THE NIGHT to any lover of the paranormal! Ms. Black is definitely a new author to watch for and she has gone onto this reviewer’s auto-buy list.
