After enduring her mother-in-law,s spiteful comments at Thanksgiving, Alyssa was looking forward to getting away from it all with her husband for Christmas.  They had booked a cabin, far away from everyone.  But, her mother-in-law wants to visit and her husband expects her to give up the plans they’ve made.  No way!! Alyssa isn’t going to listen again about how she can’t cook and when are the grandbabies coming, even though her mother-in-law knows that Alyssa can’t have babies.  Alyssa decides to go alone and leave her husband with his mother.  Minor is devastated.  He doesn’t want to lose his wife, he doesn’t want to disappoint his mother, what can he do?  Well, with a turn of events things to work out for him to catch up with his wife so they can eat marshmallows by the fireside…but not without some ‘clearing the air’ first. 

Jalena Burke has certainly written a winner here.  Full of emotions, sparks, sizzles and sweet love, this is a story that will give the reader a thrill right down to her toes.  Every relationship goes through its ups and downs, and Ms. Burke shows in this story how one such down can be transformed into building a relationship up and strengthening it.  Her characters are multi-dimensional, the plot simple but very well written, dialogue great and all built around a very realistic situation.  It’s one of those will they, won’t they situations where the reader will be fast scrolling those pages to see how it turns out.  Of course, there is a happy end, but getting there is sometimes not so easy.  So, add to all this some really fun and sexy sex scenes, the reader is all set to settle down to a very entertaining, heartwarming story.
