A blend of suspense, humor, murder and passion is sure to keep any reader turning pages. 

Dr. Adam Gary is developing a top-secret project for the government, something that will revolutionize the way we live. Unknown to him, the basic details have been leaked onto the Internet. When he is assigned a bodyguard in the form of Maxine Blake, he resists by locking himself in his workroom. 

Maxine and her two sidekicks, Ozzie and Ruby are as strong willed and career driven as Adam. It soon becomes a battle of wits as the danger comes nearer and Adam keeps resisting any change. 

Well-drawn characters and a brilliant plot, make Ms Jenkins latest book an interesting adventure. The action scenes are well crafted and easy to follow, while adding to the tension. The dialogue is full of energy with good tone and language integral to the story. The characters passion has depth and flows well, showing the mood and enhancing the choices the characters make. The plot is fast paced and with a strong willed hero and heroine, the passion heats up as the danger comes close. The conflicts are both internal and external making this book a must read, if you like tense tales filled with danger and passion. The ending is upbeat and surprising as the thrill of danger subsides there is still some energy left and hope that love could bloom in an unexpected way. 

The secondary characters are as colorful and passionate as the main characters, in this intriguing story. Kaitlin the secretary has a hidden agenda and an invasive father, and sparks fly, when Max’s ex-husband comes along to help out, in more ways than one.
