Since eight
millennia, the forbidden scrolls have been hidden until a dying sorcerer
finds their resting place and sets out to get himself immortality. The
result of this could endanger the three known worlds. Xavier D’Shagra
has survived centuries feeding on the souls of his people. It was
Julienne Blackthorne who discovers his evil plan after she frees herself
from his prison. He believes her dead, leaving her to suffer an embryo he
had planted in her. She’ll die as it’s feeding on her blood. But she
escapes and needs to find Morgan for only he can help her. Morgan is bent
on revenge, as is Xavier. Morgan is responsible for the death of his
wife, and Morgan needs to stop him from finding the scrolls. And, in
order to save Julienne, he needs to embrace his legacy again.
This is the
continuing story of Morgan and Julienne from The Keeper of Eternity.
This reviewer believes this story is even more darker and horrific than
the first. Here the reader is faced with all the atrocities of Xavier and
his dying world. This is a story that the reader will not be able to read
or forget quickly. Ms. Quinn draws a bleak picture and gives her readers
characters that are put through more than their paces. The reader will
wonder if the heroes will ever survive the great task ahead of them, and
this reviewer hopes that the next book in this series will give her that
answer. This reviewer enjoyed this story very much, it is not for the
faint hearted, but this is just the kind of story this reviewer likes very
much.
