Romantic Suspense

U.S. Coast Guard Officer Jamie Trivard has come to Maine to investigate a connection between his friend’s death and an undercover smuggling operation.  His friend was investigating the very same when his boat mysteriously exploded while he was on it.  Coming back to Maine means that he has to face his own past and the drowning accident that took his brother’s life.  Shelby Teague fears for her own brother.  After losing her husband to the sea, her brother is diving without enough experience and she is worried sick about him.  When Jamie arrives in town looking for work, she sends him to her uncle who surprisingly takes him on.  Jamie isn’t the only stranger in town, lots of strange things are happening.  She learns to trust her heart and him inspite of his take-charge attitude and it’s not long before all secrets are out and danger is persuing them.

Teagan Oliver has written an exciting adventure that will hold the reader captive and keep her turning those pages until the end of the story.  She has written characters that are very much alive, dialogue that is real and warm, a plot that is exciting and a love story that is romantic and sizzling with sexual tension.  Jamie is a man who has always kept his relationships light and short, that is until he meets Shelby and although he tries very hard to keep his distance, it just isn’t working.  Shelby hasn’t dated since her husband passed away and she’s wondering if the attraction she feels for Jamie is only a need that hasn’t been fulfilled in quite a while.  Ms. Oliver writes their story with emotion and finesse.  The plot has twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and the end will have the reader sighing in satisfaction.
