After her
grandmother was murdered, young Maelis Keshnar is the only green-eyed
witch left to fulfill Nuerman’s Prophecy. Joran Tohknar, an assassin,
watches while she learns to master the Talisman and instead of killing
her, begins to care for her. Can Maelis learn to trust the assassin and
can they stay alive long enough for her to fulfill her destiny?
NUERMAR’S LAST
WITCH by AE Rought is a classic tale of good vs evil set in another
world. One where demons exist to possess the evil and the weak. One where
magic is possible. One where witches are easy to spot as only they have
green eyes. If for nothing else, NUERMAR’S LAST WITCH is worth
reading simply for the excellent world crafting but that is not all it has
to recommend it.
Readers will enjoy
watching both Maelis and Joran grow and change throughout the story.
Maelis starts out as a rather self centered brat and grows into a lovely
and caring young woman. Joran has never allowed himself to care yet
Maelis has wormed her way into his heart. Now the man that has never
trusted has to teach Maelis to trust him.
This reviewer does
want to point out to the readers that NUERMAR’S LAST WITCH is
slightly jerky in pacing however the lessons learned and the dangers
avoided more then make up for this one drawback.
This reviewer
recommends NUERMAR’S LAST WITCH to any reader of epic fantasy. Get
