Luscious Craving

Candace Steele is back in this 2^ndbook by Cameron Dean. Set in Las Vegas, Candace is determined not to fall under Ash’s influence. Ash is the vampire she fell in love with but Candace doesn’t want to be a vampire herself. There are rumors of a New Year’s Eve vampire assault on the Scheherazade casino where she works. Candace may not have a choice but go to Ash for help.

Ms. Dean continues her world building in this story. Candace and Ash’s characters are further developed and explored. The fleshing out of Ash and Candace makes for a better story. We get the points of view from Candace and Ash. This was great for the reader as we get inside their heads. The emotions from the characters are real and touching. At some points, Candace is a little infuriating and Ash comes out smelling like a real hero. It is a nicely paced and action-filled story with some twists thrown in. The erotic action is moderate but in keeping with the story.

LUSCIOUS CRAVING is a terrific middle book in this trilogy!!! It is just as good as the first book, Passionate Thirst. Questions are left unanswered but it sets up for the next book. What will happen to Candace and Ash, who or what is the Board? Hopefully all these loose ends will be answered in Eternal Hunger.

LUSCIOUS CRAVING has built up and whetted this reader’s appetite for the final book, Eternal Hunger! Thank goodness, we don’t have to wait long as it will be out very soon.
