Until Jesse Slade shows up. He can’t believe the little tom-boy has
turned out to become such a beautiful woman. She’s still fiery and
stubborn, but before he wanted to tie her up to the outhouse, now he just
wants to kiss her. Jesse and his brother are Rangers and after a
dangerous gang. Now, Summer is wanting to get them too, she wants to
reward money so she can pay for her father to get a special operation
done. Jesse is gving her naughty thoughts, but she can’t give in to them,
he is betrothed to her sister and it just isn’t proper. In his arms she
feels safe, and damn he doesn’t always show up to be her hero. It’s time
to show the man she can take care of himself.
Phyllis Campbell
has written a story that will warm the heart of the reader, have her
laughing out loud, get her reaching for the tissues and will keep her
turning the pages until the very end. She has written characters that are
alive and vibrant, from the hero and heroine, to the secondary
characters. There is excitement, adventure, love and sensual tension that
will give the reader a very satisfactory and wonderful read. The plot is
full of twists and turns and when the reader thinks she is coming to the
end, something else happens that will make the reader gasp with surprise.
Ms. Campbell knows how to keep her reader guessing. This reviewer enjoyed
the relationship between Summer and Jesse. Sharp and biting, Summer tries
to act like she did five years before, but they have both changed, and the
sexual tension between them sizzles and spark. In this reviewer’s book,
Phyllis Campbell has well earned her title of Queen of Sexual Tension!
This book is on this reviewer’s keeper shelf to stay.
