Gloria Dalton was
taken away from her teenage life and the boy she loved when along with
her mother she enters the witness protection program. She’s almost
forgotten who she was until she comes to the little town of Mojo, Louisana,
a quirky, colorful, and little creepy place. Then, in one moment,
Gloria’s past comes back in a flood when she meets Zane Riley, the boy she
was in love with and now he’s all grown up and he still takes her breath
away. Things get mighty complicated when voodoo dolls show up, followed
by dead bodies, Gloria is desperately trying to keep away from Zane, but
they have to be together. She can’t tell him who she really is as there
is a gangster after her. But Zane is no fool. He is drawn to her, though
he doesn’t know why....at first and Gloria is about to find her mojo.
What could be wrong
with this story? Almost nothing, except that it could be a little too
breathtaking. There is a lot of action and the plot just seems to carry
the reader along and take her for a helter-skelter of a ride. Stephanie
Bond has mingled humor, suspense and romance to make this story a keeper.
A myriad of characters abound to keep the reader on her toes. Gloria is a
little klutsy, especially around Zane, but who can blame her when his
presence sends little electrical bolts through her body. The sexual
tension gets wound real tight and the love scenes are both very sensual
and very satisfying. This reviewer enjoyed the ride very much, even
though at times it left her breathless too! This reviewer would happily
read more of Ms. Bond’s books if this is a sample of her writing. Very
enjoyable indeed!
