With many twists and turns, this reviewer was enthralled with the quick wit of Charlotte as she determines what the most important thing to her is: love or spying. With engaging characters, a lush London Setting and a edge of the seat story, Ms. Karr will truly capture the imagination with her latest work.

Charlotte Parnell is a woman determined to live her life her way and is not going to be wed before she is ready, if she ever is. With her brother forcing her to play society miss, she finds herself working an important case for the crown as she tries to prove her value as a spy. With her first meeting with the Viscount, sparks fly and passions are set aflame. This reviewer was rooting for both these characters to finally end the sweet sexual tension as the story built up to its imposing yet exciting climax. This reader was thrilled to finally be able to relate to a heroine who found herself in a major dilemma: job or love. With each page, Charlotte grew and evolved to a beloved character that held this reviewers heart.

Alistair is a complex man, bored by the society misses out on the ton and longing for excitement. He never expected to have it literally fall into his arms in the form of a tempting bundle of a woman. Captivating, this reviewer was charmed by this character and was rooting for him to win Charlotte’s trust and love by the middle of the book. He is definitely a character this reviewer enjoyed reading!
