Angela Clarke has
got it bad for the boss. Feeling a bit abandoned, she is expecting to
have to face the holiday on her own this year. A surprising situation at
the company Christmas party shows her that the man whom she has een eyeing
wants her as much as she wants him. Suddenly, she is far from lonely.
Owner of Silk
Sheets Magazine, Ryan Tyler will be too busy to fly home to his
parents’ place for the family celebration. However, he is expecting his
best friend Wade Peterson to be a guest for Christmas in Scottsdale. All
of that is forgotten in the heat of a delicious interlude in his home.
When Wade shows up
and gets an eyeful of Angela he offers to make this a party for three.
The guys have done this before and the lady is in for a bringing to life
of her deepest, darkest fantasy. At the back of his mind, the idea of a
ménage in this case feels a bit off to Ryan. He finds that he has a
fantasy that he would like to make very real and it involves only two.
Although the
characters seem likeable enough we do not learn very much about them in
BOUND FOR THE HOLIDAYS. Also, due to the timeframe of the actual
story the romance seems rushed and there is not much build up of romantic
attraction between the two main characters.
The same however is
not to be said of the sexual pull between Angela and Ryan. One can
imagine the sparks flying during the initial setting of the Christmas
Party and the more heated encounters that follow will get you nice and
toasty. When the hero’s friend joins in the temperature rises even higher
but it is romance that usually warms our hearts.
Readers are in for
a spicy holiday bite with this short but steamy story. Angela and Ryan
are the main ingredients in this wonderful mix and focus is on the sweet
and hot. It is also seasoned for fans of cowboys. The latter will enjoy
the flavor of Wade, our tall, tough Texan. Those who are fond of ménage
will be particularly tickled with the different textures one can
experience with the rougher cowboy and the smoother corporate hero.
It is always a
pleasure to read a book by Ms McKade. If you are looking for something
light but hot, this one will hit the spot.
