Bit The Jackpot

Vampire Seamus Fox is the campaign manager for Ethan Carrick who is President of the Vampire Nation. He also has the responsible for babysitting Kelsey. He inherited her when he saved her but he is now stuck with her. After 200 years of celibacy, Seamus is ready to cut loose. Cara Kim is working as a stripper to get through vet school. Cara manages to perk Seamus’ interest but his mind control doesn’t work on her. Cara is attacked and near death but Seamus saves her by turning her into a vampire.

Seamus and Cara sets off sparks from their first meeting. Seamus has to teach Cara how to be and live as a vampire. Seamus is a very lovable vampire and Cara is a feisty heroine who can bring him to his knees. The author manages to mix humor with the eroticism between these two. The dialogue and situations are very witty as well as comedic. Although there are other characters including Cara’s animals – most of the story is focused on Seamus and Cara’s relationship.

BIT THE JACKPOT is an extremely entertaining story. It is a book that is sexy and funny thus making it a first-rate page-turner! The pacing is quick and with the comedy going on; it will be over before you know it! With lots of interesting characters, the author can keep this series going indefinitely! BIT THE JACKPOT is the 2^nd book in this series by Ms. McCarthy and it is a terrific follow-up to High Stakes, featured Ethan. And the 3^rd one, Bled Dry, will be available in May 2007.
