Comedic Mystery

Lois Greiman’s UNMANNED is a mystery that leaves readers laughing, guessing, racing to keep up and panting for more.

Psychologist Christina McMullen most certainly does not lead a boring existence by anyone’s standards, at least not lately.  So it should come as no surprise to her when a charming stranger shows up on her doorstep and is almost immediately gunned down right in front of her.  After all, shootings and people trying to kill her are nothing new to Chrissy.  But honest to God, she thought all that was in her past.  Lucky for her that the incredibly sexy and very determined LAPD lieutenant Jack Rivera is on Chrissy’s speed dial and is ready to race to her rescue once again, and again.

Than, as if a dead man in her yard isn’t enough fun for one girl, her trouble dragging brother Pete shows up with a host of problems including a pregnant girlfriend, a “borrowed” car, a mobster named “D” and some serious debt that just might be the reason Chrissy keeps getting shot at.  Of course, with her luck, it could just be coincidence.

Lois Greiman’s UNMANNED is the latest in a series of zany and witty mysteries surrounding cocktail waitress turned psychologist Christina McMullen.  Having never read anything by the very talented and extremely clever Lois Greiman before, this reader had no idea what to expect when she picked up this romantic comedy slash mystery slash suspense.  What a pleasant surprise.  How could this entertaining and crafty author have slipped past this reader’s notice for so long?

Lois Greiman’s UNMANNED has it all.  Christine is smart and sexy and completely unaware of her appeal.  The man in her life, the hot and tenacious Lt. Rivera, is a perfect complement to her with his quick thinking and fast comebacks.  Though they never get past the kissing stage, the heat these two characters manage to create is masterful.  Even our heroine’s dog has a personality that shines.  And then there are the lesser characters in the book, her patients, her family and all the baggage that comes with them.  Positively wonderful.  Add to that one crazy occurrence after the next, throw in a mystery or two and you have one really fun and funny book.

This reader can’t wait to get her hands on Lois Greiman’s other books, both past and future releases.  There really is nothing quite as enjoyable as a little mystery that has you laughing and wanting the whole way through.  Don’t miss out on the fun, get your copy of UNMANNED today.
