Twin sisters Kerry
and Eve share everything. Everything but one. What happens when sisters
must choose, their twin or the boy they both love?
Kerry and Eve have
been forced to grow up fast. Their mother left them when they were just
little girls. Their father is tragically taken way from them in their
tender teenage years. But they have always had each other. Until their
seventeenth year when something goes terribly wrong, something that will
tear them apart.
Now it is thirteen
years later. Can they find the strength to put their shattered
relationship back together before it is to late?
WOW! PIECES OF
MY SISTER’S LIFE is one of those books that after the final page is
turned, makes the reader stop and think. It is a very poignant book
about the bond of twins and what can happen when that bond is severed.
And what it takes from both twins to bring it back together, the sister
who was lied to and felt she was betrayed, and the sister who took what
she wanted.
This reader connected with
Kerry from the very first. Kerry seems to take a back seat to her
vivacious sister, but she has a quite, engaging quality that will grab
the reader’s heart. She travels back to where she has many bittersweet
memories to bridge a thirteen-year gap with her sister Eve before Eve
dies from cancer. Back to the home that was once her own. Kerry is the
best character that this reader has had the pleasure of “meeting” in a
long time. She has more courage and grit than this reader has, that is
certain.
Author Elizabeth
Joy Arnold has penned a book that is a worthwhile read for women of all
ages. PIECES OF MY SISTER’S LIFE is Ms. Arnold’s debut novel. And
what a wonderful first offering! This is an author to keep your eyes on.
This reader can not wait to read future work from Ms. Arnold.
This reader will be
keeping PIECES OF MY SISTER’S LIFE to be read again. It is that
good. This book has that meaningful of a message. This book is very
highly recommended.
