A Taste of Paradise by Herbert Grosshans

Darrin Parker decides to leave the big city and buys a house in a small town. The house has been empty for a long time and it seems its haunted. Darrin, a writer of horror fiction feels it will be the perfect ambience for him and his work. But when he experiences strange erotic dreams that leave him exhausted and hears about a succubus that is supposed to be in the house, he wonders if maybe some legends are really true.

This is a dark erotic story that is creepy and sensual. Mr. Grosshans gives his readers a story that thrills and chills. His characters are well written though this reviewer did feel that there could have been a bit more emotion. This is a good start though to this promising anthology and this reviewer would like to read more from this talented author.

Spirits At Home by Jim Deep

Robert and Becky Tilman’s children have flown the nest and they have moved into a smaller apartment. They are both having erotic dreams at night and they feel younger and healthier than ever. Soon the dreams are becoming a reality as their sex life is renewed. The neighbors are wondering why the couple are not having nightmares as no other tenant has lasted more than a year in the apartment.

Oh, this is such a lovely story. This reviewer enjoyed this one very much. More of a classic ghost story, this reviewer enjoyed the characters, the plot and how Mr. Deep wove it all together to make a well rounded story. The sex scenes are hot and sensuous. This is one bright star in this anthology and this reviewer knows that readers of this anthology will enjoy this one too.

Love Haunted Them by Chris Cumo

Historian Jennifer Walton moves to a new town. She’s an historian and gets involved with Cedric Collins, a business man who wants to tear down the town’s cemetery. Soon they are being pursued by a Satanic ghost while finding out that their attraction to each other means much more.

This is also an interesting story. It’s creepy, thrilling and the characters are well written. Only one thing marred this story for this reviewer and that was this reviewer couldn’t warm up to the hero in this story. Cedric Collins doesn’t seem to be such a nice man, but one hopes that Jennifer can redeem him.

Sex on the Beach by HH Self

Susan Til is on vacation. An island paradise, but is it the perfect vacation? Her boyfriend is a jerk and when they accidently see a couple having sex on the beach she’s suddenly running for her life. She runs right into the arms of Don Trevor who becomes her knight in shining armor. If she’s not killed first, she could have found her true love.

Here we have a man who can write a hot, erotic story with a good plot, great characters and good dialogue. Mr. Self takes his readers on a ride full of suspense with a heroine who is at first with a jerk, but who then finds her true hero. Mr. Self also injects emotion and thrill into his stories. This story is definitely the star of the whole anthology.
