Jaz, a woman who was abused by an uncle at a young age, orphaned and abandoned to the streets.  She has the potential to become the most powerful mage Earth has ever known.  She’s been kidnapped, raped and her imp injects her with a serum that makes her immortal.  She’s ruthless when it comes to dealing out justice to those that abuse the weak.  She has issues with Athena, who she feels is too dictatorial and she’s almost on the rogue list.  Together with her team she gets to take out the bitch that kidnapped her, plus she has to also kill Ares who wanted revenge for the death of his friend.  When she meets Bast, she finds out that her training has been incomplete.   Someone back at PAC has been working on his own agenda.  With her new found powers, will she fight for the light or slip over to the dark side?

This reviewer can only say, breathtaking.  This reviewer has just spent the most part of the afternoon devouring this book.  Saje Williams has written an epic story which incorporates all kinds of mystical, mythical and paranormal creatures, and all are so naturally combined to give an adventure that kept this reviewer glued to her monitor.  This reviewer was happy to see Raven again and many other characters from Freak City, Loki’s Sin and Of Men and Monster.  All available at Wings ePress.  This reviewer enjoyed the dialogue between the characters.  He writes so that the reader can picture each scene.  This reviewer could imagine these stories as a television series, or films.  Mr. Williams writes a lot of action in his stories and the reader hardly gets to catch a breather, but then she doesn’t want to.  This reviewer is waiting not so patiently for the next book from this talented writer.
