Sophie Edison
decided not to let her recent breakup with her boyfriend stop her from
enjoying the trip to Fiji that she booked several months earlier.
Sophie and Brad had been here in the past and enjoyed themselves surely
she could enjoy the island alone as well.
Dominick Dufour,
the owner of Pandanus Lagoon Resort, was not on Sophie’s itinerary for
this excursion however he seems to integrate himself quite snugly once
he discovers that she is flying solo this time around. The only problem
is that Sophie is a lawyer back home and Nick hasn’t always been on the
proper side of the law. Will being in paradise help them be able to put
aside their differences?
The palpable
connection between Sophie and Nick makes this an enjoyable read. The
way they respond to each other and Sophie’s attempts to deny her
attraction to Nick keep the story moving. The beautiful tropical
setting keeps the reader in tune to the surroundings of the characters.
Nick’s past is
hinted at throughout the book and it is apparent to the reader that
nobody will ever judge Nick as harshly as he judges himself. The only
problem this reviewer had with this book is how abrupt the end of the
story seems. It wasn’t quite as fluid as the rest of the book had
been.
With likable
characters and a romantic setting and overtone, not to mention
incredibly hot sex, this reviewer would recommend FIJIAN FLING to
others looking for a steamy summer read!
