Mystery surrounds Ciana Stone’s THAT
WHICH SURVIVES, a tale of romance, suspense, deceit and a family
legacy beyond compare. Physics
professor Senna Laserian, has had enough pain and confusion in her life to
last her a lifetime. So when a string of murdered scientists lead to
Senna and a past she can’t remember, she doesn’t know where to turn for
help. Then the strong and brooding Konnor Chase enters her life and
nothing is what it seems. Covert agencies, dead relatives that aren’t
dead, mysteries, secrets, missing time and the fate of the world all seem
to be part of the Laserian legacy that Senna and Konnor must unravel as
the past rushes to catch up with them.
Ciana Stone grabs her readers from
the first page and carries them on a wave of mystery and suspense in her
incredibly gripping THAT WHICH SURVIVES. The storyline is complex
with many twists and turns that lead Senna, along with readers, in a
labyrinth of clues as she struggles to find the connection between her
past and the string of murdered scientists that is moving closer and
closer to her.
Stone certainly knows how to peel
away a good mystery layer by layer, intricately weaving the elements of
the story in such a way to never give away more than she absolutely has to
at any given time. This story just gets better and better until the final
explosive climax.
The characters are equally riveting.
Every character in the book from the major players to the minor is cloaked
in mystery. Perhaps it is the strength of the secondary characters that
make this book so totally engrossing. Even the most benign of characters
turns out to be something other than they appear.
This reader defies anyone to figure
out the answer to this mystery before the author reveals it. THAT WHICH
SURVIVES is romantic suspense at its best and Ciana Stone’s writing talent
has never been more on target. This book has no choice but to go directly
to the top of this reader’s “must read” list. If you are only going to
purchase one e-book this year, this is the book.
