Eve Blake receives a strange crate.  After opening it she finds a cage with a large bird in it.  When it turns into a man, and a very delicious, handsome man, Eve is wondering just what is going on, and whether or not she should let him out.  Logan had been locked in the cage for fifty years by his clansmen because of a tattoo he carries and a prophecy.  When he arrives at the house of the vampire, Eve, her beauty almost makes him want to forget his plans for revenge.  He needs to persuade her to let him go so he can find his clan and straighten out the misunderstandings.  She wants to trust him, he wants to kiss her and more, and together they may be more than a match for the clan. 

This is a very entertaining, sensuous and adventurous story that the reader will just fall into and not want to stop reading until the end.  Ms. Somers gives her readers wonderful multi-dimensional characters, a plot that is fast moving and sexual tension that will sizzle and tantalize, culminating in some really hot, sensuous sex scenes.  It all balances really well to make a great read that this reviewer really enjoyed and can recommend to all readers of the vampire genre who like something a little different.  Eve and Ren are great characters and the attraction between them just combusts the pages.  Ren is a tortured soul and the ending of this story is very satisfying.  This reviewer was just thrilled with this story and looks forward to more from the pen of Sydney Somers.
