Tierney Grant seems to be one of the people who seems to have it all
magically fall into her lap. Looks, intelligence, money, fame and a father
who is one of the most powerful men in the world. She is also the seventh
sister of the seven sisters of the Pleiades, taken when a young child by
the Anaz-Voohri and genetically altered to do their bidding. Yet the very
human side of Tierney has all of the foibles and emotions of a normal
human—and she has a crush on Lawson Archer, head of Mythos. Even after a
decade and then some, Tierney has not forgotten Lawson and her feelings
about him have not changed. THAT is enough to get Lawson in trouble with
Tierney’s father.
Their feelings and attraction for each other actually turn out to be the
least of their problems as the Anaz-Voohri are still on the scene and
Tierney is their last chance to destroy the human race while at the same
time preserving planet Earth for themselves. Forced to join forces it
becomes a race against time to save the planet.
In
her second foray into the Operation Pleiades series Ms. Mitchell writes an
action packed, exciting story. If there is one complaint this reviewer has
about this book is that it is over way too soon. Not because there are
loose threads, but because of Ms. Mitchell’s writing. She weaves an
exciting story full of action that leaves the reader breathless. Ms.
Mitchell is definitely a strong voice in the Sci-Fi genre with characters
and concepts that draw the reader in and keep him or her entertained.
Captain Kavak is back in CONTAGION to entertain readers as well
especially with her penchant for a tasty blue liquor she has discovered
during her forays to planet earth.
As
with all of the books in the Operation Pleiades series Contagion is a
stand-alone story, but readers will not want to miss one of these action
packed books. If Desperate Measures had not already made this reviewer a
fan of Ms. Mitchell,
CONTAGION
certainly would have. She is a must have on the well read reader’s
“to be read” list.
