Contemporary Romance

Lies, deceit, love and second chances are all part of the package when it comes to Kim Rees’ BUYING MACKENZIE’S BABY.

Kate Hartley knew it wasn’t a good idea to go to the high society party that night.  But nothing could prepare her for finding herself naked, embarrassed and tossed out of her ex-husband’s bed the next day.  So when she finds herself pregnant from the encounter and penniless, there is only place for Kate to turn.

Kate fooled him into marrying her once.  Now she is back again looking for money, this time with a new scheme, prepared to sell Mack the unborn baby she claims is his.  Mack has vowed to never marry again, but when his grandfather threatens his mother’s home if Mack doesn’t marry and give him an heir, marrying Kate again starts to look like the perfect revenge, make that solution, to both their dilemmas.

Kim Rees intricately weaves an incredible tale of jealousy, deception and passion in her latest romance, BUYING MACKENZIE’S BABY.  Even though readers know how this story of second chances is likely to end, the journey there is splendidly laid out with many twists and turns sure to produce a real romance fan favorite.

Kate falls in love at first sight with her Prince Charming only to lose him to miscommunication and her own naiveté.  Mack is old enough to know better and still he falls hard for her innocence and marries and then divorces her just as rashly.  So when these two very different and passionate characters are thrown together a second time, the resulting firestorm is one not to be missed.

Add to this one very greedy and confused younger sister and a young and beautiful secretary and the plot takes off like a rocket.  Rees balances her characters and plotline smoothly for a truly engrossing story that will have readers pulling their hair out and biting their nails as true love is given a second chance; if only they don’t allow outside forces to influence them yet again.

Kim Rees has moved to this reader’s serious watch list with BUYING MACKENZIE’S BABY and is sure to find a place on your “to buy” list as well.
