When Carrie Taylor visits her favorite antique store and is given an old photo, all her dreams come true. Mr. Arthur Merle, the owner of Treasures is a little more than he seems, and he wants to help Carrie. 

Black Eagle wishes on a falling star in 1850, to find himself a wife. When he wakes beside Carrie in 2007, they are both startled and little scared. Carrie has been dreaming of her perfect man, but hadn’t expected him to arrive with no more than a loin cloth during the night. Both her room mate Molly and Taister her cat, like the look of this gentle warrior. The only person spoiling their lives is the evil, lazy and conniving, ex-boyfriend Dean. Carrie is worried that time will take Black Eagle back, leaving her alone again, as there is nothing certain about time travel. 

TREASURES ANTIQUE STORE is a delightful tale of two lonely people whose fantasy is fulfilled. The hero is a wonderful mix of charm, warmth and manners. Thrust suddenly into another place and time his frustrations and wonder are vividly brought to life. The very vocal black cat is an integral part of the characters, and adds another layer to the story. Sensual sex scenes, undying love and affection, with an interesting setting make this a pleasure to read. The conflicts are many, but never confusing and slowly brought to a stunning resolution, one this reviewer thought perfect. The action and dialogue was easy to follow, leaving the reader knowing what was happening and why. The author has written an original story, with a fresh voice and some unexpected surprises. This reviewer will look forward to reading Arthur Merle’s next glitch in time.
