When Taylor married Lou Jackson, it wasn’t only for her love of him, but
for her love of his functional family too. So three years after Lou’s
untimely death Taylor still doesn’t want to give up his family. But when
the desire to be touched by a man leads her to the arms of her late
husband’s brother will she lose them forever?
Will Jace Jackson have to sacrifice his family for the one woman he’s been
secretly in love with for so many years?
SOMEBODY’S LOVER
is about a widow who for three years puts her own needs aside, for those
of her sons. Ms. Haynes shows the reader the realization to “you
can’t control who you fall in love with”, when her heroine falls in love
with Jace.
Taylor is strong in so many ways, yet she’s afraid to follow her heart and
hurt the family. Growing up in a very dysfunctional family Taylor isn’t
sure being loved by a man is worth losing the Jackson family.
Randi Andersen has a knack for attracting the wrong men into her life. So
when she runs out of gas on the side of the road, she’s weary about
accepting the help from David Jackson. He appears to be nice, but she
knows better than to trust her own judgment.
David Jackson isn’t looking for a relationship but he wouldn’t mind a few
nights in Randi Andersen’s bed. She offers him dinner as a “thank you” for
his kindness. But when David realizes she’s interested in more than a good
time, will he run for the hills?
SOMEBODY’S EX
was very enjoyable. This reviewer attached to the heroine immediately.
She’s divorced, coming off a bad relationship. Her relationship with her
family is a rocky one at times. She’s very guarded with her heart.
David is battling his own
demons. When his older brother died David felt it was his responsible to
solve the family’s issues. But he isn’t having fun trying to walk in his
dead brother’s shoes.
Ms. Haynes
didn’t let this reviewer down in this story either. The sex scenes were
hot, but storyline was worth reading.
Mitch Jackson has been suffering since the death of his brother, with the
“what ifs”. What if he suffers an untimely death too? What would happen to
his wife and kids? What if the money runs out what will they do? What if
his wife gets pregnant how will they afford to feed another mouth?
Connie wants that third child Mitch promised her, so she sets out to
seduce her husband. But when she learns that no amount of seduction will
make him change his mind about the child, will they suffer the ultimate
loss, the loss of their marriage?
SOMEBODY’S WIFE
dealt with some hard-core issues. Ms. Haynes gives her readers the
brutal reality of how stressful money worries can really be. It can
destroy the strongest of people and tear down even the happiest of people.
Also the issue of wanting a child when your spouse doesn’t is another
important issue that many marriages struggle with everyday. When you agree
to something and your spouse changes their mind it can shatter the ground
you stand on.
SOMEBODY’S LOVER
was not predictable. Just when you think everything is peachy keene,
Ms. Haynes throws a curve ball at you.
Overall this book was a very good read and this reviewer would recommend
grabbing a copy today!
