A thousand
years ago, Konstantine Varinski made a pact with the Devil in which he
traded his soul and the souls of his descendants in return for the ability
to hunt down and kill his enemies. For a thousand years both the Devil
and the Varinskis been satisfied with the bargain until a son falls in
love and leaves the family.
For
thirty-five years, Konstantine and Zorana Wilder have been happy in their
home in Washington with their sons and the first daughter born since the
pact. Now Zorana has had a vision that they have been found…
Ann Smith
has been in love with her boss Jasha Wilder from the moment she met him
however he doesn’t see her as a woman. She plans on changing that when
she goes to his vacation home to seduce him. Ann however didn’t plan on
discovering that Jasha is more then a man or leading his enemies to him.
SCENT OF
DARKNESS by Christina
Dodd have to be one of the finest paranormal romances that this reviewer
has had the pleasure of reading in the past year. Danger, tenderness,
love, loyalty, and humor are deftly interwoven in such a fashion that this
reader had a hard time setting the book aside as she was afraid that she
would miss something.
Set for the
most part in the heart of the Cascade Mountains, Ms Dodd had gifted her
readers with characters that are so exquisitely designed that they seem to
step right off the page ready to hunt and to protect. This reviewer
especially enjoyed scenes where the whole Wilder family was together as
their love and loyalty for each is very evident and it is almost as though
they would welcome the reader into that closeness.
Oh and
let’s not forget the hero Jasha. This readers was rather impressed by the
fact that Ms Dodd gives us an alpha that doesn’t feel the need to show the
world that he is tough. People tend to follow Jasha instinctively.
Finally a true alpha! And it doesn’t hurt that he is absolute eye candy
either.
This
reviewer highly recommends SCENT OF DARKNESS to any reader who
enjoys paranormal romances. Be sure to get your copy today.
