Dani Monroe life is in a flux when she meets Ray Crowley. Her husband was paralyzed in an accident and her only child is heading off to college. The connection between Ray and Dani is immediate and it changes Dani’s world.

REMEMBER ME is the story of Dani’s life. She is a mature woman who has to deal with lots of issues especially regarding her husband and family. Her marriage is not the same since her husband’s accident. She is definitely the caretaker of the family and the responsibilities are heavy. This reader could definitely empathize with her situation. We can well imagine the difficulties of dealing with her husband as well as a child on the cusp of adulthood. Dani comes across as a very reliable person – someone you can lean on and count on but it is not surprising she would want to lean on someone too! Ray is an older gentleman but the desire they feel is very strong. They seize on their chance for some happiness but reality does intrude upon them. How they deal with it as well as how she deals with her issues is thoroughly dissected.

REMEMBER ME is lovely story that is very bittersweet. Dani’s life is a roller coaster as she faces what life throws at her; she becomes a much stronger person because of what she experiences. The author weaves the pieces of the story and builds it up to an emotion packed climax. It is a thought provoking book as the reader can pose the same questions faced by Dani; would we make the same choices or not? There is romance and love but this is the story about Dani’s life and how her choices affect it.
