Contemporary Paranormal Romance/ Shifter

The three Legend brothers run the family quarter horse stud, with an intimate knowledge of what horses really want. Dex is the eldest, and he’s ready to settle down, while the twins Reece and Coy, still want to play the field.

While out on a run, Dex has seen a palomino mare. He knows one of his own kind when in stallion form especially a mare in heat and it’s made him frustrated. He’s hoping he’s found a mate, but keeps quiet about that. The boys are going on a buying trip for more stock, so Dex decides to visit the local bar to work off his sexual tension, when he senses his mare is in there.

Shayla Smith has been restless, and thinking of sex since seeing the black stallion in the hills. She wouldn’t mind a good lay, but not with a stallion that big. She’d never met another of her kind of either sex, and believed she was the only one. Can Shayla fight the scorching heat from this sexy stallion?

This is an erotic tale of a family of equestrian shifters, with explicit sex and sexual language. REARING HEAT is a tale that lives up to its title in many ways. The shape-shifting scenes were handled well, and added to the action which was always easy to follow. The characters were fascinating and their actions were always clear and never pulled the reader out of the story. Three testosterone filled males, looking for women was a good premise that worked well. The hot and very sensual sex scenes and thoughts were filled with positive energy and had depth, with strong language and hot desires.

The characters choices fitted into the storyline well, with a clear and easy to understand well paced plot. Ms. Sinclair has written a refreshingly different take on paranormal stories, with a story setting that helped keep the flow and shifting transitions smooth and easy to identify with. The ending was clear with a clear indication of what the hero and heroine will be doing in the future.
