Inspirational Romance

Alex thought she was over her ex-husband, until he comes back to Piper Cove to be the best man opposite her as maid of honor in her little sister’s wedding. Josh walked out on her without even a goodbye note after being married only a year. But Alex won’t let his presence bother her. With the help of her best friends, she has to pull off the wedding of the year.

Josh has returned to mend fences and show the people of his hometown that he wasn’t the loser everyone thought he was. He did become a famous rock-n-roll guitarist and now he is rich. He also found God when an accident left his hand unable to play the guitar anymore. But will he be able to convince Alex that he has changed and that he deserves a second chance?

WEDDING BELL BLUES is unlike any inspirational romance that this reader has ever read. It holds a great amount of inspiration and second chances as these two characters struggle to see if they can find their way back to each other, however it also has more than just a few chaste kisses and sweet embraces. Not that it contains anything of a sexual nature, the kisses and feelings are just a bit more heated than in most inspirational romances that this reader is used to.

That aside, WEDDING BELL BLUES is a terrific read. Anyone who has been dumped can sympathize with Alex’s character. She just doesn’t trust her heart to Josh. And after the way he left, who can blame her. The story flows so smoothly that this reader can’t really pinpoint just where Alex’s heart began to change.

Author Linda Windsor has penned some of the most delightful characters this reviewer has had the pleasure of reading about in a long time. Even the secondary cast grabbed this reader’s attention. Alex’s friends are a hoot and very protective of their friend. Alex’s father is a gruff old man who this reader really didn’t care for until the end where he managed to redeem himself somewhat. You will find yourself liking him even if you really do not want to.

This reader is not sure why this tale is titled WEDDING BELL BLUES but that is ok. It is a wonderful read that will capture the heart of inspirational lovers if they can get past the not-so-normal romantic content. This reviewer did and is very happy that it is so.
