When Mitch arrives
at their bike repair/tattoo shop, Jess Owen doesn’t buy his or her
father’s story for a minute. They say Mitch is an old friend of her
father’s, but Jess knows better. She is sure that Mitch is bad news and is
determined to get him out of their lives as soon as possible.
Mitch was hired to
protect Jess from a deadly enemy. However, her father refuses to let Mitch
tell Jess why he is there because he never told Jess the truth that her
mother is not only alive and well, living in California but is also a rich
heiress worth $150 million. Now someone wants Jess and her mother dead.
Hold on to your
seats…umm…sissy bar.
MY BIKER
BODYGUARD is a wild ride.
This reader was intrigued with the character of Jess, a biker babe that
isn’t really a biker babe. Jess gives tattoos but doesn’t sport a body
full of them herself. Her and her father own a bike repair shop, but she
drives a vintage supped up Ford Mustang. What a combination. She is her
father’s daughter, headstrong and stubborn. When she finally discovers the
truth it isn’t because her dad sat her down and had a heart to heart talk
with her. It is because she has killed a man in a shoot out and her and
Mitch have been arrested. Gotta love that!
Author
J.R. Turner
has done a remarkable job in giving details that make this book
believable. The names of the friends that hang out at the bike shop, J.D.,
Trash, and Tiny not to mention Jess’s father Dirty Dan. This reader felt
that she was really in a biker’s hangout. Then we are taken to a plush
California mansion. Talk about one extreme to the other, and it is done
smoothly and credibly.
MY BIKER BODYGUARD
did have one flaw however. This reader was able to figure out whom the
mastermind behind the murder attempts fairly early on. Once Mitch and Jess
got to California in fact. Oh well, can’t have everything. But still,
MY BIKER BODYGUARD is a great read and highly amusing. This reader
will not be forgetting the character of Jess anytime soon
