When Matt Chase
first laid eyes on Tate Murphy he decided that he must get to know her
better. Tate has been madly in love with Matt for years; she has watched
him come and go from the fire station across the street from her salon and
wondered what it would be like to have a man as sexy as Matt in her life.
Tate comes from the
proverbial wrong side of the tracks yet Matt doesn’t care. All Matt cares
about is Tate; he is determined to be with her no matter what other people
think. But, after all the harsh words from all the people who deem
themselves better than Tate, can Matt and Tate make their relationship
work?
MAKING CHASE
is the forth book in the Chase brothers series. Each could be read alone
but this reviewer found the entire series to be enjoyable. With each book
one of the Chase brothers is paired off with a suitable woman and the
reader is drawn into the tight knit Chase family. What sets this book
apart from the others is that Tate also has a very close family that is
determined to protect each other. There is a lot of conflict between Matt
and Tate that causes them to have to work even harder at keeping their
relationship together. These conflicts help to keep the story moving
along and keep the reader wanting more.
Ms. Dane has opened
a few doors in this book that could easily lead into a prequel, which
could expand on the beginnings of the Chase family and tell about Polly
and Edward Chase and their courtship. Even if that is not the intentions
this reviewer highly recommends MAKING CHASE and all the books in
this series!
