Historical Romance

Daisy Lake and Gavin Carmichael have a history together.  They were in an orphanage together until Gavin’s grandfather claimed him.  A promise was made to stick together “through thick and thin, forever and ever, come what may” but it was broken.  Years later, Gavin finds Daisy again.  She is the infamous Delilah du Lac, performing onstage.  Gavin is determined to save her but she wants no part of his “saving”.  They enter a relationship that is filled with uncertainty but they find the emotions from the past are still alive in the present.

ENSLAVED is an extremely moving story that will bring tears to your eyes.  Daisy and Gavin find each other after many years apart.  Daisy has been through so much.  She has done what she needed to stay alive.   Gavin has a successful career as a barrister.  He did look for Daisy but never could locate her.  Her profession shocks him.  This is one of their problems.  Gavin wants her to give up her profession but Daisy doesn’t.  The characters feel like real people and act like adults.  They are well-developed and very enjoyable to watch in action.  Daisy and Gavin jump off the pages when they appear.   The reader is privy to their thoughts thus their actions feels reasonable and understandable.   Readers will enjoy this lead couple as they hash out their problems.

ENSLAVED is a wonderful story filled with romance, love and passion.  The author gives us characters that we can care about and root for.  The author has struck a nice balance as the erotic elements are nicely incorporated within the storyline.  For lovers of the historical romances, once again, Ms. Tarr has written a winning page turner!
