Set on the South Coast of Wessex, England as the Viking army continues to ravage the country, to obtain total control.

Rosamund, a Princess of Mercia has been sold by her own people, and is now traveling with Merriwen as a part of Jarl Guthrum’s Viking army. A group of British hostages have been killed, only one remains, Boda, the man who tried to save them. Chained, shackled and badly beaten, he’s on the frost cold ground left for dead.
