Aiden Calhoun has sworn to discover all involved with his Brother Kyle’s murder and to protect his family from further harm.  Blaming Kyle’s wife Sonia in particular and all witches in general; he is not happy at all when Sonia’s sister Kira show up to claim her niece Marissa.  Especially when his animal side recognizes her as his mate, even though his human side does not trust her. 

Kira plans to gain custody of her niece Marissa as she does not feel that it is safe for the young girl to grow up surrounded by the wild animals on the Calhoun estate.  When she meets the Calhouns for the first time, Kira feels drawn to Aiden even though she knows that nothing can come of it.  

What happens when opposites attract even though they do not trust each other at all?  Kira, a true innocent when it comes to men, is very attracted to Aiden even though he scares her and he appears to want nothing more then to slake his lust with her.  To make things even more interesting, Kira is terrified of wild animals!  Aiden, a true alpha, is very attracted to Kira but he can not trust her as a witch has already killed one of his family members and cursed another.  So while his animal side demands her as his mate, his human side refuses to accept Kira. 

This reviewer does want to issue a gentle warning concerning editing that could have been better as there are instances of telepathic dialogue being combined in the following paragraphs.  This can lead to a case of confusion at times.
