Contemporary Erotica

Three brothers, Jace, David and Mitch all have tales to tell about how they found their way into their wives’ hearts and beds. Three separate stories bound into one novel not only by the author but also by the family that knows the secrets behind the stories. In SOMEBODY’S LOVER Jasmine Haynes does it again; she creates a tale that will leave readers breathless in more ways than one.

Jace Jackson, the youngest brother has found himself lusting after his dead brother’s wife.  Family responsibilities bring him in close contact with her, but he strives to remain her brother-in-law, until one fateful night.  Taylor may have recovered from the death of her husband, but she still feels the needs for a man, but will a sexual relationship be enough to fulfill the woman in her?

David has spent the past few years blaming Jace for his brother’s death and needs a strong woman to pull him back to living. Randi may have rough edges but she finds her way into his heart, and helps his heart find forgiveness for his brother’s dying.

Finally, Mitch’s story rounds out this family when Mitch and his wife, Connie find themselves drifting in different directions after ten long years of marriage. Two kids later and they find themselves disagreeing on everything from money, to cars, and more. Can these two find themselves a slice of happiness?

Jasmine Haynes is one of the most talented writers of erotic romance.  She has created a family that has faced tragedy and survived physically if not emotionally. She pens a tale that shows the healing process. Her emotional tale highlights not only their sexual sides, but also the emotions that bring about true love and long lasting marriages.

Her heroes are sexy and hardworking men who spend their time doing manual labor. Her heroines are three very down to earth women who represent real woman, real bodies, and real needs. She does not give her characters “Barbie doll bodies,” she talks about Connie’s extra pounds and how they make her more curvaceous and sexy to her man, she talks about Taylor’s stretch marks from having kids. Ms. Haynes characters rock.  They come from the pages and become real. This reviewer wants to be a member of the Jackson family tree, problems and all; they are to die for characters.

This well written book has no downside, except that it ended. As a reviewer, this reader found no faults -- a better novel cannot be imagined. It combines all of the good things and makes a reviewer forget the real world. It could easily be a lifetime movie with realism and emotions that jump off the page and into the reader’s heart.

The exciting sex scenes are well written and tasteful. While this not the novel for the weak minded, readers who are open about the true sexuality of today’s women will find this to be a HOT HOT HOT read.
