The war on love just got hotter with Cat Johnson’s second offering from Linden Bay Romance, TRILOGY NO. 3:  RED HOT AND BLUE.  This sampling of Ms. Johnson’s writing talent sizzles with the unique talents of the men of Special Task Force Zeta.

Special operative Trey Williams likes his life the way it is and has no time for distractions of the female persuasion. But when Trey must pose as half of a married couple and is teamed up with a civilian female for a special assignment, Trey may have to rethink his stance on distractions.

When Jack Gordon’s unit is forced to take time off for a mental health break, Jack heads home where he meets the new hand at the family horse farm, Nicki Camp. Nicki is hiding something and Jack isn’t leaving until he finds out what it is.

Jimmy Gordon’s career in Special Forces has had him wearing many disguises and playing many roles. But when he is faced with handling the governor’s red-hot daughter, it may just be time to stop pretending.

Trey’s story is our introduction to Cat Johnson’s men of Special Task Force Zeta followed by team members Jack & Jimmy Gordon. These men are all highly trained, highly skilled fighting machines. They are the military’s best of the best and their job takes their full attention at all times. These are alpha men ladies --  our men in uniform have never been hotter.

Though parts of these storylines may be a bit unlikely, like placing a civilian in the middle of a Special Forces assignment because time is too short to find an appropriate military women for the job, Cat Johnson’s easy writing style and a chance to look into the heart of a career military man as he is forced to give in to love is thoroughly enjoyable. The men are hot and the women hotter.

The cover of the book alone had this reader picking it up. Is there anything steamier than a man in uniform with a mission?

TRILOGY NO. 3:  RED HOT AND BLUE is a nice introduction to Johnson’s writing style and certainly grabs readers’ attention but the stories are short and each really does beg for a more fleshed out longer book. That said; readers that enjoy a little danger and intrigue with their romance are sure to be looking for Cat Johnson to pen the next book in her men of Special Task Force Zeta series. Perhaps, next time, Johnson will favor readers with a full-length novel dedicated to one of these oh so hot and sexy military men. This reader certainly hopes so.
