Based loosely upon an old
Celtic myth, MIDNIGHT FOR MORGANA reads very much like Cinderella
and a few other beautiful fairy tales rolled into one sweet short story.
Morgana has been virtually enslaved as a servant in her own home to her
family ever since her mother’s death. Her father is helpless to deny her
sisters anything and she seems to get the short end of the stick. One day
a fairy comes to her aid in the guise of an old woman and grants her
fervent wish to attend the fair. A series of events leads the handsome but
self-centered Prince Keir to her door. He is shell-shocked and angry to
find the woman he had been searching for is in drab rags and not the
princess he insisted he would marry. What future could they have together
when the Prince is dead-set that he should only marry a princess? What is
it going to take to win his heart?
Any romantic at heart
will enjoy this as much as this reviewer did. Read it to feel your heart
swell at the sheer fairy tale of it. Read it to find out what happens to
the ungrateful sisters who strove to make her life depressing. Read to
find out if Morgana can win Prince Keir’s heart. Will she be able to
change his ways of thinking that love comes in many forms and not just in
a princess package?
Read Shirley Martin’s
MIDNIGHT FOR MORGANA and find out. This reviewer isn’t familiar with
the old Celtic myth but is familiar with fairy tales and romance. Ms.
Martin delivers it in spades. This reader has read from this author
before and finds her stories never disappoint.
