This story is the finale in
Patricia Rice’s ‘Magic’ series. For Aidan Dougal disaster seems to
follow him wherever he goes. When his emotions run wild, the earth
shakes, house’s shiver and mountains almost fall. He is about to lose all
he has to his neighbour if he can’t show that he, or someone close to his
family is legally entitled to inherit. Not a man to ask for help, when
Mora Abbott enters his life his cool composure is about to turn into
red-hot passion. He’s surrounded by maddening women who are all a little
bit strange and Mora is a welcome change, until she tells him she hears
voices. Mora has been left homeless after the death of her foster
parents. She’s finding out that she has certain gifts and she goes to
visit her friend’s family. Surprisingly, she not only discovers her true
origins but finds others like herself and true love. Aidan is a wild,
stubborn man who only she can truly understand and tame.
Now is the time for this
reviewer to truly coo and gush. This is a fabulous story with every
single character in it multi-dimensional. Where to start? The heroine is
a strong, stable woman who is the perfect match for the rather blustery,
emotional hero. The hero is a man that the reader will certainly drool
over. This reviewer loved the scenes when the women got together to talk
about the situation at hand. There is a lot of humor there that will have
the reader smiling. The love scenes are truly passionate, sensual and
sizzling. The interaction between Aidan and Mora is intense but
humorous. It thrilled this reviewer to see this burly, hard headed man,
who didn’t believe in the supernatural finally accept his fate. The plot
is exciting and grabs the reader from page one and carries her long until
a satisfying end. This reviewer needs to now look on her bookshelves to
see if the rest of this series is there, if not, then it’s shopping time!
