Elizabeth Batten-Carew’s MAGICAL DAWN
is an erotic “I Dream of Jeannie” episode come to life.
Dawn has been forced to suffer centuries
of loneliness living in a brass bottle. Now she is released from the
bottle and is discovering that her new master, Luke, may just be the
answer to her dreams. But is she the answer to his?
Luke hasn’t been able to forget his
ex-fiancée Evelyn. So when a beautiful genie tells him she is his to
command, he sees an opportunity to win Evelyn back. How is a guy to choose
between what he can’t seem to forget and the beautiful and MAGICAL DAWN?
Elizabeth Batten-Carew’s MAGICAL
DAWN is every man’s fantasy magically come to life, his very own
beautiful genie eager to grant his every wish. The storyline is light and
entertaining albeit a bit expected. Luke, much like the upstanding and
honorable Major Nelson from the “I Dream of Jeannie” television series,
refuses to take advantage of Dawn and instead ends up falling in love with
her. For this reader, it might have been a tad more interesting if Luke
had battled with his morals a little harder. A fantasy scene or two as he
battled with his baser desires and his sense of right might have added
something to the story.
Still, Elizabeth Batten-Carew’s
MAGICAL DAWN is a light and amusing summer read. This reader thinks
that male fans of fantasy romance are going to be reading MAGICAL DAWN
poolside this summer and perhaps doing a little antique shopping for
interesting old bottles – just in case.
