Paramedic Dia Courvant is trying to put the pieces of her life together
after the death of her husband. She’s dedicated to her job, and her life
is finally getting back on track.
Suddenly drawn into a police investigation of a series of mysterious and
fatal car crashes, she finds herself in personal danger and under the
protection of Detective Brig Hafferty. Both of them are reluctant to do
anything about the growing bond between them.
But Dia has another secret, one she’s not sure how to explain. Her dead
husband’s spirit is reaching out from beyond the grave to warn her of
danger. Dia and Brig race to discover the source of the danger, and
protect Dia from a ghost from the past that harbors both hatred and a
twisted obsession.
This reviewer has been a fan of Holly Lisle’s work for a long time. Her
original, creative approach to the fantasy genre was tremendously
exciting, and it seems that her entry into the realm of romantic suspense
is equally enticing.
I See You
is a wonderful piece,
filled with unexpected twists and turns, and two likeable and vulnerable
characters who need each other desperately for so many reasons, though
neither wants to admit it.
If all of Ms. Lisle’s romantic suspense novels are as wonderfully drawn as
this one, this reviewer will be adding them all to his TBR pile. It has
all the gut-churning intensity and emotional context of the best of its
genre, and one I consider to be a must-read, if only to bring an excellent
author some new fans from a completely different perspective.
